Google Wave Review

So, I have been one of the lucky ones (I think) to gain access to the new app from Google Wave. At first, I felt I had the ability to collaborate and express with my co-workers in ways that could empower me to great new heights. After 3 hours of continuous ‘playing’, I soon felt that Google missed the mark here. At first glance, I thought this would be useful and intuitive. My general feeling: Useful, not sure yet since adoption has not taken off. Intuitive, no way. The experience does not flow in the way you would expect. I believe deeply that a user will find ways to interact with a unique system if the system has strong value to give back the user. Google Wave does not help me become more ‘motivated’ to interact in a real-time or express to me the real differentiation in doing so. What is the advantage to the ‘wave’ in contrast to keeping an Google Chat open and Google Doc open? I prefer focused apps rather than a super app trying to do too much.
